Clubhouse Services Staff Requirements

Under Section 65.05-15.B(4), provider staff of mental health psychosocial clubhouse services must have completed an Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) approved certified employment specialist training, or equivalent. 

The Department will exercise enforcement discretion of this requirement and allow nonsupervisory provider staff to complete the required training within six months of being hired.   

During this interim period, a certified employment specialist who has a minimum of two years’ experience in employment services must provide direct supervision of staff who have not completed training. Direct supervision shall be for a minimum of five (5) hours per month and shall include development of employment services knowledge, including:  

  • Understanding Competitive Integrated Employment. 

  • Career exploration. 

  • Job development and placement. 

  • Job coaching.
