Departing Rockland
Please Note: The ferry schedule is based on high tides. The ferry will depart Matinicus within 1 hour or less of arriving.
Reservation requests for Matinicus are made by contacting the Rockland Terminal at 207-596-5400.
Reservations to Matinicus may be made up to 3 months in advance and are held at the Rockland Terminal.
The schedule is subject to change without notice. Travelers are advised to contact the Rockland terminal office the day before the scheduled trip to confirm the trip is departing as scheduled.
For regular passenger vehicles, an exact length of the vehicle to be transported must be provided.
For trucks, an exact length and weight of the truck to be transported must be provided.
Payment by cash, check or credit card is due at the time of reservation.
Cancellations may be made up to two weeks prior to departure.
For cancellations made more than two weeks prior to departure, or if a departure is cancelled by the Port Captain the day of the scheduled departure, you may do one of the following:
transfer the ticket to a future trip
pick up the ticket within one year of the original departure date
If you do not cancel, your reservation will remain in place.
No shows will be charged.
Passengers/Vehicles must be in line and ready to board at least 30 minutes prior to loading time.
