The Maine Warden Service is Hiring!

We’re looking for new team members who are dedicated to conserving Maine’s fish, wildlife and other natural resources and protecting the people who enjoy them. The title of Maine Game Warden is one of honor and prestige, and it is never too early to start preparing for a career with the Maine Warden Service. Maddie, originally from Massachusetts, started her career as a fisheries biological technician. She then served as a seasonal Deputy Game Warden where she found protecting Maine's fisheries and wildlife so rewarding that she applied to become a full-time Maine Game Warden. Read more

The Maine Warden Service is responsible for

Law Enforcement
including laws and rules pertaining to inland fishery and wildlife resource management and protection, registration and operation of snowmobiles, watercraft, and all-terrain vehicles, and general laws.

Investigation
of hunting-related shooting incidents and recreational vehicle crashes

Search and Rescue
including coordination and implementation of all operations as specified under section 10105, subsection 4.

Data Collection
as needed for management and protection of inland fisheries and wildlife resources.
