2012 - 2016 Orthoimagery Program

This program helped communities achieve great savings in the acquisition of ortho imagery. We know that in 2012 the town of York experienced a savings of $26,000 over a previous acquisition in 2005 for the same quality data. Several other communities have documented saving over $20,000 each by participating in the program. As we come to the end of this program a total of 75 communities have purchased higher resolution imagery. Assuming an average savings of $20,000 for each community we can project total savings of $1.5 million dollars! A list of all participating communities can be found here. And a full report of the program can be found here.
