This year marks a major milestone for the Higher Opportunity for Pathways to Employment (HOPE) parent empowerment program: five years of helping Maine parents with low incomes gain access to education and opportunity.
MaineCare will host the annual Post Award Forum, where we will review the 1115 SUD waiver, provide updates on implementation, and seek public comment. The Post Award Forum will cover the current 1115 SUD waiver and will not include information concerning the pending application for the 1115 Whole Person waiver.

On November 10, 2025, the Department with our vendor Milliman will host a virtual “kick off” meeting with interested parties via Zoom. At this meeting, we will provide an overview of MDFT, the project goals, scope of work, and an initial timeline that includes additional opportunities for interested parties to participate and provide feedback.
Pursuant to Rate Reform law (MRS Title 22, 3173-J), the Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) will host its annual MaineCare Draft Rate Determination Schedule Consultation with the Rate Reform Expert TAP on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM via Zoom. This meeting is open to the public. There will be limited time at the end of the meeting for public comments.

In January the Department communicated that the implementation of final rates for certain Medicare covered family planning services and LARCs would be implemented in early spring of 2025. Due to unforeseen systems constraints and challenges, the Department has been unable to implement these rates on the timeline previously communicated.
Yesterday, the Health PAS Online Portal experienced technical difficulties. The Portal is now up and running and providers will have access without issue. The Gainwell Provider Services Call Center is operating normally as well.
