The State of Maine is committed to promoting the health and safety of its employees. This Suicide Prevention and Intervention Protocol raises awareness and provides encouragement, guidance and procedures to employees, supervisors, and managers in carrying out an appropriate response to suicidal behavior if encountered in the workplace. State of Maine employees, interns, contract employees, and temporary workers shall endeavor to adhere to the procedures set forth in this protocol.
