Service Animal Policy

Policy Statement.

It is the policy of the Office of the Maine Attorney General (“Office”) to support employees with a physical or mental disability by permitting the use of Service Animals as part of a reasonable accommodation plan which has been developed in conjunction with the Office’s Equal Employment Opportunity Coordinator (“Office EEO Coordinator”) or the State’s Equal Employment Opportunity Coordinator (“State EEO Coordinator”) within the parameters set forth in this Policy.

Outside Complaint Policy

The following policy outlines how members of the public can file a complaint against members of the Office of the Attorney General. Additionally, as a subrecipient of federal financial assistance through the Maine Department of Public Safety, the Office of Attorney General provides notice that clients, customers, program participants, consumers, and employees of the Office of the Attorney General may also complain to the Maine Department of Public Safety (DPS) or to the U.S.
