All psychiatrists at DDPC are certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as specialists in psychiatry. They serve as the leaders of treatment teams, approving, and coordinating all treatment provided to each patient. They and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, pharmacotherapy, non-medication therapy services, and have a major role in developing an individualized multidisciplinary treatment plan for each patient.
Dorothea Dix is aggressively pursuing the use of quality indicators and performance measurements as a way to manage care and implement best services and monitor continued improvement. Dorothea Dix uses both internal standards and where available national indicators.
