AUGUSTA, Maine – The Maine Office of Cannabis Policy (OCP) is today issuing a health and safety recall for select adult use cannabis flower and pre-rolls produced by NorCO Outdoor Cannabis. This includes flower and pre-rolls of the strains “Frosted Enigma” and “Gold Dust,” and pre-rolls of the strains “Blackberry Pie,” “Sour Cookies,” and “Street Tartz.”
The affected products were sold at 22 adult use cannabis retail stores located in Auburn (x2), Augusta, Bangor (x2), Casco, Guilford, Lewiston (x2), Milo, Northport, Peru, Poland, Portland (x3), Presque Isle, Rockland, Sanford, Southwest Harbor, Warren, and Waterville.
As part of an ongoing investigation pursuant to the last NorCO product recall, OCP conducted testing on additional adult use cannabis and cannabis products from that licensee. These additional products are being recalled due to test results that showed varying unsafe levels of yeast and mold, microbials, and arsenic.
Consumers who purchased these products should return them to the retailer or dispose of them. Any consumer who has ingested these products and is experiencing symptoms or adverse reactions should contact a healthcare provider immediately or dial 911 if there is a medical emergency.
All adult use cannabis is required to have a label affixed to the package that indicates the product’s batch number. Consumers should check the label of their flower and/or pre-rolls for the batch number listed below under “Product Information.”
