Norway Savings Bank intent to close its Exchange Street, Portland branch

Norway Savings Bank, with a main office at 1200 Congress Street, Portland, Maine, notified the Superintendent of the Bureau of Financial Institutions, pursuant to Title 9-B M.R.S. §336, of its intent to close its branch located at 120 Exchange Street, Portland, Maine, on or around December 18, 2026. 

You may request that the Bureau of Financial Institutions require Norway Savings Bank to submit a comprehensive application in support of its proposal through November 7, 2026, pursuant to the provisions of Title 9-B M.R.S. §336. Written comments should be submitted to the Bureau of Financial Institutions, 36 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333-0036 and electronic comments may be sent to bfi.info@maine.gov.
