Maine State Credit Union to amend bylaws and expand field of membership.

Maine State Credit Union, Augusta, Maine, has requested permission to amend its bylaws to expand its field of membership, in accordance with Title 9-B M.R.S. § 848.

Maine State Credit Union is a community credit union whose field of membership consists of Maine State Employees, Employees of the Maine State Employees' Association, Cumberland County Employees', Maine Housing Authority Employees, Members of the Maine Association of Retirees, Employees of the Maine Community College System, Employees of the Maine Public Employees Retirement System, retirees of groups listed above, any individual who is receiving a Maine State retirement pension; and persons who live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in and businesses located in Androscoggin County, Cumberland, County, Kennebec County, and Sagadahoc County, and their immediate family or household members. The proposed bylaw amendment adds four counties: Knox County, Lincoln County, Somerset County, and Waldo County.

The Maine Bureau of Financial Institutions reviewed the documentation submitted by Maine State Credit Union in support of its request. As a result of that review and analysis, the Bureau approved the request add four new counties to its field of membership. Therefore, the community field of membership for Maine State Credit Union is amended to include: persons who live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in and businesses located in Androscoggin County, Cumberland County, Knox County, Kennebec County, Lincoln County, Sagadahoc County, Somerset County, and Waldo County, and their immediate family or household members.

Any person aggrieved by this final agency action shall be entitled to judicial review, pursuant to the provisions the Maine Administrative Procedures Act, Title 5, Chapter 375, Subchapter 7 (5 M.R.S. § 11001-11008).
