The Office of the State Fire Marshal is responsible for safely collecting expired marine flares from citizens across the state. Proper disposal of expired flares is essential to prevent accidental fires, environmental harm, and safety hazards.
If you have expired boat flares, please contact one of the Department of Public Safety’s three Communications Centers to request pickup by a Fire Marshal Investigator:
