Virtual Public Hearing

June 8, 2023, at 9 a.m.

In accordance with federal requirements, the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention in the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, announces a Virtual Public Hearing on the use of Maine's share of the Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant. Block Grant (PHHS BG) activities are guided by Healthy People 2020/2030 health objectives and dedicated to protecting and improving the health of all Maine people.

Current and planned future uses of PHHS BG funds include community-based disease prevention, epidemiological and informatics services, accreditation support, and sexual assault prevention.

Interested members of the public are invited to review and comment on proposed changes to the current workplan ending September 30, 2023, and proposed objectives and activities for the workplan for the period of October 1, 2023 – September 30, 2024. These proposals will be presented in a virtual hearing:
