Federal Trade Commission's Do Not Call List

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has a Do Not Call List, which makes it easier for you to stop getting telemarketing calls you do not want. You can register online through the FTC's Do Not Call website or by calling 1-888-382-1222, TTY 1-866-290-4236 from the telephone number you wish to register. Registration is free.

Direct Marketing Association's Do Not Mail and Do Not Email Lists

DMAchoice has services through which you will be removed from certain promotional mail and email . While this will not eliminate the promotional mail and email you receive, it will reduce it. Registration is for 10 years.

To sign up for the mail list, go to their online registration form to either register or to download their form and mail it to their provided mailing address. There is a small fee for this service.

OptOutPrescreen's Opt-Out List for Credit Offers

OptOutPrescreen has a service to have yourself removed from credit offers . To opt-out for five years, use their online service. If you would like to opt-out permanently, you will need to register with them and then confirm the request in writing. Visit their FAQs to learn more.
