Aligning with the adoption of the MBM, Chapter II, Section 60, Medical Supplies and DME rule, the Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) will be updating the criteria sheets used when submitting a request for PA. The criteria sheets will be located on the HealthPAS portal as of October 31, 2023, using the path MaineCare Information>Manual, Forms, and Criteria Sheets and are as follows:

The Office of MaineCare Services academic detailing partner, Maine Independent Clinical Information Service (MICIS), offers one-page non-commercial infographics that share key points for pharmacologic RSV prophylaxis in first, second, and third generations: adults over 60, pregnant people, and infants, respectively. The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Office of the Health Insurance Marketplace (OHIM) announced today that Maine people can now visit CoverME.gov to preview quality health plans for 2024 in advance of Open Enrollment, which begins on November 1, 2023.

Maine CDC Announces Possible Hepatitis A Exposure at Portland Restaurant

AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) has identified a case of hepatitis A in a Portland food service worker. Hepatitis A is a contagious liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus. It can spread through person-to-person contact or by consuming contaminated food or water.

The individual worked during their infectious period at Green Elephant Bistro, 608 Congress St., Portland on the following dates:
