Primary Election ballots include names of 3 candidates who have withdrawn, 1 who is disqualified

AUGUSTA – Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap is reminding voters that four people whose names will appear on the June 12 Primary Election ballot are no longer candidates in their respective races.

Max Patrick Linn, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, has been disqualified from the June 12, 2018 Primary Election by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Additionally, the candidates listed below have withdrawn from the election:

These four candidates’ names will remain on the ballot because the disqualification/withdrawal was received less than 70 days before the Primary Election. A vote for any of these candidates will be counted as a blank. Voters will see reminders of the withdrawals/disqualification posted at the polling place or included with their absentee voting materials.
