Secretary of State Charles E. Summers, Jr. to Present Flag at Grand Opening of the Maine Military Museum and Learning Center

AUGUSTA, Maine – Secretary of State Charles E. Summers will present the American flag that flew over the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on September 15, 2007 to the Maine Military Museum and Learning Center at its grand opening ceremony on Saturday, June 11 at 1 P.M. The museum’s new location is 50 Perry Terrace in South Portland. 

The museum was founded by Lee Humiston, a veteran of the Vietnam War and an avid collector of war memorabilia. Governor Paul LePage and nine former prisoners of war from Vietnam and World War II are scheduled to attend.
