AUGUSTA – On Thursday, the Maine House voted unanimously to advance a bill from Rep. Julie McCabe, D-Lewiston, that would help prevent cybersecurity attacks on Maine hospitals and ensure continuity of patient care when future cyberattacks occur.

AUGUSTA – Midcoast area lawmakers welcomed People Plus to the State House last week in honor of the organization’s 50th anniversary.  

People Plus is dedicated to intergenerational community participation, offering services to support and engage older adults and youth in Brunswick, Harpswell, Topsham, Bowdoin, Durham and Bath.

Dan Sayre, D-Kennebunk, will join René Sylvestre, Québec Delegate to New England, for a reception to discuss the longstanding history and diplomatic friendship between the Canadian province of Québec and the State of Maine. AUGUSTA – Yesterday, the Maine House of Representatives passed an amended version of LD 1822, a measure sponsored by Rep. Amy Kuhn, D-Falmouth, that would protect consumers by strengthening Maine’s data privacy laws.   

AUGUSTA – This week, the Maine House and Senate voted to advance a bill sponsored by Rep. Cheryl Golek, D-Harpswell, which would establish a commission to investigate housing discrimination based on a tenant's legal source of income, including the use of rental assistance.
