The Parcels_UT digital layer was created to provide access to query, view and link additional database information to the unorganized areas of Maine.
This is the GIS layer for parcels in Maine's unorganized townships. The polygon parcel layer is created from townships within Maine Revenue Services (MRS) unorganized territories as well as individual plantation and town parcel information within Land Use Planning Commission (LUPC) jurisdiction. The plantation and town parcel information is in the process of being updated. The tax owner information is received from each town and plantation separately and could be as much as 5 years out of date.
Maine Revenue Service - Property Tax (MRS), Maine Land Use Planning Commission (LUPC), Maine Office of GIS (MEGIS.
Users should be aware that the data updates are backlogged by several thousand as of January 2014. Updates are being frequently made.
