Child Outcome Summary

Progress for all children eligible for early intervention/special education is measured on three national child outcomes:

  1. Children have positive social/emotional skills (including positive social relationships)
  2. Children acquire and use knowledge and skills
  3. Children take appropriate actions to meet needs

These outcomes focus on skills and abilities that children use to be successful in everyday activities, and routines and skills children will need to be successful in future school settings.

  • Child Outcome Summary Form (DOC, 69KB). Teams should use this form to summarize information collected from multiple sources to address the three child outcomes.
