Family Caregiver Program

As a person providing care for an older adult or a person with dementia you are faced with an enormous amount of responsibility and work.

Often there are no others there to help you, and you have little time to take care of your own needs.

The OADS Aging Services oversees the Family Caregiver Support Program which provides education, training, support groups and respite for family caregivers of older adults and of people with dementia, and older adults caring for minor children (kinship parents).

One of the training programs available is Savvy Caregiver (About Savvy Video). Find a Savvy Training near you here.

If you are interested in more information about the Family Caregiver Program, please contact your local Aging and Disability Resource Centers.
