Join Maine Master Naturalist, Judy Walker, for a guided two-hour walk on the Fresh Pond trail and discover the variety of ferns that grow along this trail. Participants will learn to identify different species of ferns that are common in Maine by their leaf shapes, sizes, textures, and degree of complexity which vary between species. Park in the lot on Otis Gray Rd. and meet at the Fresh Pond trailhead. This is an easy/moderate walk that is appropriate for adults and older children. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring water. FREE program & park entry.
