Every year, we place almost 100 individuals throughout the entire state of Maine to conserve and protect our natural resources. They participate in trail maintenance and erosion control, water quality and wildlife monitoring, invasive plant removal, outdoor education and outreach, and so much more.

The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry and the City of Belfast are hosting a workshop to update city and town tree and forest managers and public works staff along with interested community members on the known status of emerald ash borer in Maine, local and state management efforts, municipal support opportunities, and will include plenty of time for Q&A.
The program will begin at 9:30 AM on September 11 at the Belfast City Boathouse at 34 Commercial Street, Belfast, and will run roughly 2.5 hours. Please share with municipal tree managers and others within your community government who may be interested (tree warden, arborist, public works, parks, transfer station, etc.).
